Adele could soon be moving to Las Vegas, if certain rumors are to be believed. Recently, a UK-based tabloid newspaper printed a story claiming that one of the big Las Vegas hotels and casinos was in the process of trying to get her to take up residence and perform regular shows.
Rumor has it that Adele could be presented with a residency contract by a big Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.
Wynn Resorts Could Sign Adele
The story about Adele and Las Vegas was published in The Sun newspaper. This paper has the largest circulation in the United Kingdom. According to its story, Wynn Resorts is currently in the process of drawing up a residency contract for the superstar. The Sun claims that the contract will see the singer earn nearly $500 000 per show and the entire deal could be worth up to $26 million.
The contract will require Adele to perform just one show per week, and there will also be VIP meet-and-greet packages. These will reportedly cost $26 000 per ticket. However, Adele fans should temper their enthusiasm before booking flights to Las Vegas. The Sun newspaper doesn’t have the best reputation when to comes to reliability. Wynn Resorts has also responded to the story, claiming they have not offered Adele a residency contract.
Adele Story Could be inaccurate
The Sun was actually voted the least trusted newspaper, out of 26, in 2014. So, fans should take this story with a massive pinch of salt. In addition to this, the story does also have some inaccuracies. For starters, the story refers to the Wynn Hotel. There is no such thing, as the companies two locations in Las Vegas are called Wynn Las Vegas, as well as Encore at Wynn Las Vegas. The paper also makes no real mention of where it got the story from, besides saying an inside source.
Having said all that though, there is no reason why something like this couldn’t be happening. Adele has mentioned that touring and leaving her child has been difficult so a residency could be an ideal compromise. In addition, reports have surfaced before, of Las Vegas hotels trying to get Adele to sign a residency contract.
Many big A-list stars have done so, including Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, and Jennifer Lopez. We look forward to seeing if there is any truth in this story.
