The Bellagio in Las Vegas is claiming that a reality star’s husband owes the casino close to $4 million. The reality star is from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and while shows like this are known to try and create extra drama by fabricating stories, the Bellagio has confirmed that this is no such trick. Dorit Kemsley joined the reality show in 2016, in the shows seventh season. It is her husband who reportedly owes the money.

Bellagio owed money by reality star's husband

The Bellagio in Las Vegas is claiming that Paul Kemsley, who is married to a reality TV star from Real Housewives of Beverley Hills, owes the casino nearly $4 million.

Bellagio Seeks Court Intervention to Reclaim Money

Kemsley is a fashion designer and met her husband, Paul Kemsley in New York, marrying him in 2015. Paul Kemsley is a businessman from England who made his fortune while working in real estate development. The Bellagio says that the incident with Paul Kemsley dates back to 2009. At the time, the casino loaned the businessman $3.6 million. However, he failed to pay the money back. The Bellagio claims that over the next two years, it received just five payments from Kemsley, totalling $850 000.

He also then filed for bankruptcy in the United Kingdom, but the Bellagio was never notified of this. This means they are entitled to still recoup the money they loaned him. Then, in 2013, the casino reached an agreement with the businessman that would require him to pay back $2 million over the next five years. The Bellagio claims that once again he failed to uphold his side of the deal and is now asking the courts to go after his assets in order to recoup its money.

Other Bellagio Incidents

The Bellagio is one of the most recognizable casinos in Las Vegas, thanks in part to its incredible water feature. However, it has also fallen victim to schemers over the years. Back in 2014, a man armed with a BB gun robbed the casino and made off with $43 000. He was later arrested. Then, in November 20178 a man robbed the poker cage and made off with some cash. It was never revealed how much was stolen.

Perhaps the strangest incident was in early 2018 when a kitchen employee tried to steal 25 lobster tails. The total value was around $1800 and the man tried to hide the tails in his backpack. Unfortunately for the seafood thief, cameras saw what he was doing.
