Conor McGregor Handed Light Sentence
McGregor has been one of the biggest stars in MMA fighting and the UFC. He pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly conduct. Ahead of UFC 223, McGregor and his entourage were seen attacking a bus with numerous UFC fighters inside. Some were injured by broken glass and had to miss upcoming fights.
McGregor was given a very modest sentence for his crime. He will be required to attend anger management courses, as well as complete five days of community service. One of those on the bus when McGregor attacked it was Khabib Nurmgomedov. It looks like there may be a fight brewing between these two. Soon after learning that McGregor was free to fight, Nurmgomedov apparently challenged the former lightweight champion. Nothing is confirmed at this time, but various sportsbooks are already getting involved. Currently, Nurmgomedov is the favorite to win if the fight goes ahead.
