Fox Bet joins FanDuel, DraftKings and MGM Resorts to become the official partner of Major League Baseball (MLB). MLB announced on Tuesday that Fox Bet will now be an Authorized Gaming Partner in the US. However, the details of the deal were not disclosed, but it is known that the gaming provider will use MLB data feed and other services on their sports betting app for real money betting. Fox Bet will also use their Fox Sports Super 6 free-play sports prediction game.

What’s more, the partners will work together to develop responsible gaming controls and best-in-class practices for the MLB games integrity. According to Kenny Gersh, MLB vice president, the partnership will ensure that fans have a choice of the various partners. CEO of Fox Bet, Robin Chhabra, said the MLB data would help in providing their customers with a better experience.

Fox Bet Becomes the Fourth Official Partner for MLB

What is Fox Bet?

Fox Bet is a collaboration project between The Stars Group and Fox Sports to expand in the legal US betting market. They announced their partnership back in May 2019. However, the launch of the sports betting app only happened in September after The Stars Group acquired a New Jersey license for online operations. So far, they are offering their services in Pennsylvania.

This is a 25-year deal where Fox Sports has a stake of 5%, and The Stars Group has 50%. However, Fox Sports will have exclusive access to pitching opportunities that will be for their viewers.

MLB Pursuing Sports Betting

Similar to the NBA and the PGA Tour, MLB has been insistently pushing to get involved in sports betting in whichever way possible. Some of the ways that these sports leagues use include integrity fees and licensing official data feeds. The integrity fees are meant to protect the sports from threats that come with betting.
