Betway CEO, Anthony Werkman, commented to the media that Betway is happy to be sponsoring such a huge event like the Grand National Festival for a further five years. He further said that the past two years had gone very well. The gambling operator has been sponsoring six races in the Festival which will be shown live on TV. There have been several wins since the races have started on Thursday, including the 2.50 Betway Bowl Chase. The Grand National Festival is not the only prestigious event that is sponsored by Betway, and the big gambling operator is also an official sponsor of the Queen Mother Champion Chase since 2015. One of the regional directors of Jockey Club Racecourses said that they are thrilled that Betway is extending the festival’s sponsorship at the Randox Health Grand Festival for the next five years.

Overview

The terrible, wet and windy weather was not enough to dampen the spirits of the enthusiastic punters who were all too eager to place bets on their favourite horses. Bettors were seen in their fancy regalia, nestled under umbrellas and rain jackets. The festival has already seen some victories with Jack Quinland winning the 1.45 Devenish Manifesto Novices’ Chase on Kalashnikov. Ruby Walsh won the 2. 50 Betway Bowl Chase on Thursday.
