As of January 22^nd, the Las Vegas Raiders are now the first NFL franchise in Sin City. After being the Las Vegas Raiders for only a day, the team quickly got a deal with MGM Resorts International as an official gaming partner. As the largest operator on the Strip, MGM certainly has the cash to back the team. While financial terms weren’t disclosed, MGM has revealed that they will be a founding partner of Allegiant Stadium. When the stadium is complete, it will be the Raiders’ home turf.

Reportedly, MGM has some new perks as a founding partner of the Allegiant Stadium. First and foremost, their signage will be posted year-round, including in-stadium branding and naming rights to the west VIP entrance. They’ll also have an MGM Club at the arena with a premium bar, lounge, and stadium seating.

The Las Vegas Raiders, formerly of Oakland, are set to start their season with a bang. Before their move was finalized, they’d entered another partnership with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians of California. Details of that deal are scarce, but the agreement isn’t as far-reaching as MGM’s. According to the official website, MGM has a few unnamed terms.

However, it’s not all fun and games for the Las Vegas Raiders, they’ve already committed to community outreach programs in Nevada. Starting with a six-figure pledge toward eliminating student meal debt throughout the Silver State. They’ve donated $500 000 to the Nevada Community Foundation (NCF), who will allocate funds to public and non-profit charter schools. This commitment was made on January 22^nd at the same time as the MGM deal was announced.

Allegiant Stadium Operators expect Big Things

With MGM’s branding deal, the gaming operator is expected to gain marketing and visibility year-round. Only 16 NFL games are expected to take place once the stadium opens for the Las Vegas Raiders. At least 30 other events are slated for the arena, including neutral college football games and the 2020 Pac-12 championship. In addition, the revamped Las Vegas Bowl is on the cards.

Last year, NCAA officials visited the stadium construction site to assess the venue as a possible host for the Final Four. Moreover, the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, also paid a visit and stated that Las Vegas is a “Super Bowl City”. The arena is expected to be ready for the 2020 season, but at the earliest, it can only be prepared for the NFL’s biggest showdown by 2025.
