Spectacle has a consensus with Hard Rock to acquire rights from the company for its proposed Gary casino project. The news surfaced after the state’s Governor, Eric Holcomb undersigned a gambling expansion bill that authorizes the construction of casinos in Terre Haute. This decision enables the two riverboat casinos which are owned by Spectacle Entertainment to be relocated. John Keeler, Spectacle’s attorney shared the news with Tribune-Star, he said that the brand-new casino will be branded Hard Rock. He added that the company has signed a letter of intent with the Florida gaming giant.

The attorney went on to say that their decision to be involved with the big brand was pushed by the approved gambling growth in Illinois. Gov. J.B. Pritzker.  The law has reformed the gambling industry and allows six other casinos to be created around Illinois, like Danville and Chicago. Spectacle Entertainment will remain with casinos in Gary and Terre Haute which will be marked Hard Rock. The casino in Gary will be managed by the Florida company.

Spectacle Entertainment Needs to Follow Protocol

The Terre Haute casino project has to be approved by Vigo Country voters for anything to happen. Citizens of the country will be able to voice their thoughts on the project at the municipal election in November. After the voters agree to the development of a casino in Terre Haute, the Indiana Gaming Commission will conclude the winner for the Vigo Country license. Clearly, Spectacle Entertainment has some work ahead of them but need their request to be approved first. It’s still early for a defined plan of how Terre Haute will look like but John Keeler said it’s not far from the usual Hard Rock property.

The casino reveal will provide more information about the precise location of the new venue and its design. There will be tax revenue for the city and permanent jobs created should everything go according to plan.
