The countdown is on at Parx!
Gaming enthusiasts in Philadelphia are counting down the days to the launch of the state’s first online casino offering table games and slots. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) announced the debut of igaming will happen on July 15 2019. The big announcement was made almost three month ago using an ad rather than a press release. As the date draws nearer to the launch, a couple of casinos operators in Pennsylvania have also announced their launches. As it stands, the PGCB has approved ten interactive gaming licences for PA casinos.
Parx Online Casino Offerings
Parx launched its online sportsbook in June and is currently one of the three live sportsbooks in Pennsylvania along with PlaySugarHouse Sportsbook PA, and BetRivers. Some of the interactive games that will be offered by Parx includes slots, blackjack, baccarat, craps, roulette, video poker, and live dealer games. Parx holds a Pennsylvania online poker permit. However, poker is not one of the games that will be a part of the launch. Furthermore, Parx already operates a social online casino run by GAN. Whether or not Parx will combine their online gambling into one app is still up in the air. But, in the time being players can enjoy hundreds of online slot titles and more on their desktop and on their mobile devices.
Which other Casino Intends to Launch?
The PGCB has not given out any clues on whether or not Parx will have competition on the day of the launch. Pennsylvania was the first state to legalize online gaming back in 2013 and Parx is about to the first casino in PA to have an online casino go live.
The Parx online casino site will use a geolocation tool to ensure that all players that are signing up are physically located in Pennsylvania. All eyes are on Pennsylvania to see how they enter the online gambling market and how it will be received.
