Indiana Gaming Commission Approves DraftKings Launch

The Indiana Gaming Commission has given the green light to online sports betting in the state and top internet gaming operations were quick to pounce. Daily fantasy sports giant DraftKings continues to spread its operations throughout the United States. Following the recent approval, DraftKings will expect Pennsylvania state to follow suit.

DraftKings’ foray into mobile sports betting is boosted by the partnership with Penn National Gaming. The deal will see DraftKings join fellow sports gambling giants theScore, PointsBet and The Stars Group, along with a new betting firm Kambi. Penn National Gaming also operates Ameristar Casino in East Chicago and will ensure that the site is launched without any glitches.

Indiana Approves Mobile Sportsbook Apps

There have been several betting platforms that have been looking into getting approval to legally supply sports betting online. Rush Street Interactive (RSI) was the first sportsbook to get approval to launch its mobile app in Indiana. Another platform that players can visit is the French Lick Casino. US players can now find mobile sports betting markets on their favorite NFL games for the weekend.

With multiple states looking into legalizing mobile sports wagering, DraftKings has pushed to increase its presence in as many states as legally possible. With Indiana becoming part of its portfolio, DraftKings now operates three states including New Jersey and West Virginia. DraftKings is also awaiting approval to go live in Pennsylvania, which is estimated to be in around one month’s time. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has already given approval to a retail sportsbook in the form of The Meadows Racetrack & Casino.
