Both fighters have been given a temporary suspension, that will last ten days. It began on the 15th of October.

McGregor and Nurmagomedov Could Face Further Punishment
The suspension of McGregor and Nurmagomedov will still be in place the next time the Nevada Athletic Commission meets, on the 24th of October. During this meeting, the commission will discuss further punishment and vote on whether the suspension should remain in place until a full disciplinary hearing can be arranged.
Nurmagomedov has definitely come off worse, following the fight that happened after their match. Nurmagomedov jumped out of the octagon and attacked one of McGregor’s coaches. Because of this, the Nevada Athletic Commission has withheld his $2 million purse. There is the chance he may lose all this money and even have his UFC title stripped away.
Rematch Between Nurmagomedov and McGregor Likely
McGregor didn’t initially get punished, as it was determined that he hadn’t done anything wrong. As a result, he was paid his $3 million purse. However, later videos seemed to show him throwing at least one punch, while he tried to climb out the octagon as well. This is why he has shared in the 10-day temporary suspension, and he could face further fines or sanctions.
While the brawl after the match has caused huge controversy, the clash between these two UFC greats was still one of the sport’s most popular events. It’s almost certain that there will be a rematch in the future. It has been reported that McGregor has already asked for another match. If it does happen, Nurmagomedov will once again be the favorite to win. Bovada has already started listing odds on the fight, with Nurmagomedov at -300 and McGregor at +230. Bovada will honor these odds as long as the fight happens during the course of 2019.
